In the heart of Palestine, amidst olive trees and ancient lands, a mother’s hope shines brightly. Her eyes reflect dreams of clear skies, where the innocence of her child can flourish. Amidst the rubble and turmoil, she nurtures her little one with unwavering love, a beacon of strength and resilience. Her embrace promises a future where birds of freedom soar, painting the horizon with peace and possibility. In every act of care, she sows seeds of hope, dreaming of a world where love prevails and her child's innocence is protected.

YOUR DONATION

Purchasing this Art will provide displaced families in Palestine with urgent food, medical aid and shelter material alongside any additional support we can provide pregnant mothers, new-borns and young children. Restless Beings, our charity partner, has been working in Palestine for many years amongst the charities distributing aid on the ground since (and prior to) 7 October.

The conflict in Gaza in the last 8 months has lefts millions of Palestinians displaced with little to no food, fuel, shelter and water. Your purchases and donations as a result will make a huge impact at a time of great need. Please share widely and encourage everyone you know to make this difference but also to receive art which will remind us of our shared strength and the need to continue to stay hopeful in the face of adversity.

RESTLESS BEINGS

www.restlessbeings.org

Our chosen charity this month is Restless Beings, an international human rights organisation and registered UK charity dedicated to supporting the world’s most marginalised communities through advocacy, activism and holistic humanitarian projects. Restless Beings are committed to challenging and dismantling oppression and believe in the power of people coming together and collectively demanding change. Freedom, equality and justice should be for all and not the privileged few.

With projects across the world from women and girls rights in Kyrgyzstan, to supporting farmers and their families in Punjab, championing the rights of the those affected by citizenship laws in Assam, providing safe drinking water to refugees in West Africa, working with vulnerable children living and working on the streets of Bangladesh to standing in solidarity with the Rohingya community whose ongoing genocide has displaced and affected millions ~ Restless Beings have an unshakeable vision of a equitable and balanced world which is only possible through compassion, kindness and community.

OUR FIRST COLLAB

J Sol & Restless Beings first collaborated back in 2006 & 2007 at the launch of the charity in London, UK.

Restless Beings were keen to launch with a powerful image which best conveyed their first project working street children in Bangladesh, with a focus on children who lived and worked on the train stations.

Jai's artwork was used as the poster for the launch event which took place in the heart of East London and also went onto to becoming a key image for the project, being widely shared through various campaigns and programmes and acting as a visual reminder for us to not forget the struggles of these children and the possibility for us to bring about necessary change.
